Frederick, MD
August 15, 2004

Kimberly Stup, former Creosote Affects intern, was named Assistant Editor of Frederick Magazine. This regional publication is most known for its local interest stories, photography, and coverage of events and personalities. Stup’s role includes editing and writing as well as developing and researching story ideas for the publication.

Stup’s civic square internship focused on Maryland’s Senior Resource Center.  The Senior Resource Center located in Frederick, Maryland and was founded by senior citizens who dedicated themselves to assisting and educating other seniors with enrollment in local, state and federal entitlement programs. The non-profit organization evaluates a senior’s needs and serves as a clearinghouse of services putting all available resources at their fingertips.

Stup worked with the Creosote staff and SRC board of directors to help develop their fundraising materials, including a website, brochure, marketing plan, and press releases, and helped develop a major fundraising event, “Viva Las Frederick.”
