Every creative team needs a left-brainersomeone whose overall groundings, obsessive attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects help to make sense of the everyday, chaotic marketing world. Rich is the guy who can jump between projects from Web to print, events to advertising, marketing to managementnever wincing. Every client needs someone to have direct contact withsomeone they can reach at any time to ask a simple question or help with a complex marketing problem. But it’s not these talents that you’ll enjoy most about working with Rich. It is his vivacious attitude and willingness to take on any challenge. His across-the-board talents stem from agency work with many clients over the years, both large and small.
Personal Profile
After graduating cum laude with a degree in Communications & Sociology from Bridgewater College, Rich entered the agency setting, working for an advertising and PR firm with clients ranging from corporate to non-profit. After several years in the agency world, the opportunity to return to the university setting presented itself. Rich was the final team member hired to refocus the marketing efforts of a small liberal arts college. With Rich’s marketing and Web experience, he rounded out the group of professionals. After years of success that same team realized the potential to impact a larger market. That team is now known as Creosote Affects. Rich has his MBA in higher education marketing from Mount St. Mary’s University.
His efforts in both the professional and community arenas have been rewarded by numerous accolades including ADDY Awards, various chairmanships, Frederick Magazine’s People to Watch 2002, and his highest recognition, the 2004 Outstanding Young Marylander.
